Lisa Rumsey

Meet Lisa Rumsey, our favorite gluten free chef!

Lisa Rumsey is a UK-trained doctor who worked in General Practice and Women’s Health in both the UK and France from 1988 until 2010. A move to Singapore with her husband’s work saw her change direction completely – initially working for a magazine as a cookery writer and editor and subsequently teaching gluten free cooking, both privately and at a local cookery school.

Lisa Rumsey is one of the founding members of the Singapore Celiac and Gluten Intolerance Support Group.  While living in Singapore, she baked gluten free treats with Two Intolerant Cooks and taught specialty classes at Expat Kitchen.  Since returning to Paris in 2015, Lisa has founded Bien Cuit Gluten Free and continues to teach as well as conduct walking tours.  Lisa tries to make an annual pilgrimage to Singapore and is happy to reconnect with Singapore Celiacs and teach a few classes during her brief stay.

Now living back in France again, she is teaching GF baking from her home in the western suburbs of Paris and still working on a cookery book! She also takes people on walking tours in Paris hunting down ingredients, bakeware and good GF things to eat. All the details are on her blog
