Starbucks Christmas Drinks 2017

Starbucks Holiday Drinks 2017

What’s in your Cup of Merry?

Starbucks has four new Christmas coffees this season.

Which ones are gluten-free?

We have checked as many ingredients as possible. Here is what we have found out…

Christmas Tree Dark Mocha

Espresso, dark mocha sauce, green whipped cream, red & green candy crystals. All ingredients appear safe. Nima Sensor agrees that it is gluten-free.

Peppermint Mocha

Espresso, mocha sauce, peppermint syrup, whipped cream, candy cane sprinkles. All ingredients appear safe.  Nima Sensor agrees that it is gluten-free.

Vanilla Nougat Latte

Espresso, vanilla nougat sauce, whipped cream, strawberry almond nougat candy topping. There are a lot of ingredients here. It is unclear what source the High Maltose Syrup is from. Although it is possibly safe, we will put this one of the risky list. We did not test with the nima sensor.

Toffee Nut Crunch Latte

Espresso, toffee syrup, whipped cream, toffee nut bits. We were not able to see the ingredients for the toffee syrup. The toffee crunch topping contains malt extract (barley) so it is on our off-limits list.

Other coffee shops

Are you missing the Gingerbread Latte this year? Costa Coffee is offering a gingerbread latte in a darling christmas cup. The drink comes with a little gingerbread man cookie. Be sure to ask for it on the side instead of stuck in the whipped cream. Although we did not see the ingredients for the drink, the Nima Sensor registers that it is gluten-free.
